From Arusha public buses leaves regularly for Mto wa Mbu from the Arusha main bus station. The bus fare should be approximately Tsh. 5000 to 7000. If taking your own transport, follow The Dodoma Road going to Dodoma until you reach Makuyuni, then turn right on the Ngorongoro Road. Follow Ngorongoro road for approximately 35km. until you reach the village. The trip from Arusha to
Mto wa Mbu should take 1.5 hours by car and 2 hours by bus. Once in the village, tour can be arranged in the Cultural Tourism office in the red banana located in the center of town, next to Scorpion Restaurant here you can meet a guide who can also help you find accommodation in a lodge, campsite or guest house in the village. Arrangement of any tour can be made with your guide.

Twice yearly rainy seasons, short rains from November to January and long rains between March and May.
Tanzania has only one time zone. Local time is GMT and Daylight Savings Time is not used.
During the short rains (dry season) December to January, temperatures are very high. Diurnal mean maximum and minimum temperatures of 31.4°C and 21.7°C respectively and the long rains (wet season) March to June, the temperatures are relatively low with mean maximum and minimum temperatures of 28.6°C and 20.8°C respectively.

Yes! Although we have planned itinerary, we are quite happy to help design the tour to your own specifications. We also can help design tours for school groups and adventure seekers.
Our traditional local food prepared by women groups are organic, hot and of different varieties. We follow careful client’s dietary issues like Vegan, Ovo-Vegetarian, Lacto-Vegetarian, Lacto-Ovo Vegetarians, Pescetarians, etc. Apart from that our traditional lunch momas groups are well trained on various health issues including Food safety and Hygiene.
Children of all ages are very engaged and positive about all of the new experiences and opportunities they are faced with when traveling.
We have found that kids ages 5 onwards pretty much roll with it and look to their parents to set the tone. They easily engage with other kids and those they meet traveling. Language does not seem to be a barrier to play and many younger kids fit right in with the activities around them.
